We created an augmented Instagram Effect that let amateur skaters turn themselves into sponsored Samsung athletes in seconds. It flipped the traditional skate sponsorship model and invited grassroots creators to co-create with Samsung, putting the power of sponsorship into their hands.
We took inspiration from skate films, with every interaction and micro-interaction built from motion principles of ‘kick, push and flip’. Our dedicated campaign site brought all the submissions together, allowing fans and skaters alike to vote for their favourite, and be in the chance to get sponsored by Samsung.
